For my Christmas getaway, I found the perfect retreat in a cozy and serene location. The hotel's hot spring was a real treat, with a unique rock pool that provided a truly relaxing experience. The staff, despite the language barrier, were incredibly helpful and friendly. I also loved the fact that the hotel was attached to a spa resort, offering a free visit to the spa as part of the stay. It was a wonderful way to unwind and indulge in some self-care during the holiday season.
The only downside to this idyllic getaway was the hotel's remote location. While it was perfect for those hiking Nakasendo, it might be a bit far for those looking to explore other nearby attractions.

Nothing could have been better.

I had a great stay at this hotel with a stunning view of the river. The hotel's restaurant served delicious food, and the staff were super helpful despite my limited Japanese. Additionally, the Japanese style dressing gowns provided in the room were a nice touch.
Nothing to be said.

I had a wonderful stay at a hotel with an excellent location for nature lovers. the walk around the river was pleasant, offering stunning views. the spacious and comfortable room was priced at a reasonable 7000 yen per night. I particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast, especially the Japanese version. the onsen was also a great experience. the hotel staff were friendly and quick, adding to the overall positive stay. The bonus of a free commuter bus from the station was appreciated. Cons: Nothing, all great! 😊.

the staff's enthusiasm and willingness to assist were commendable. Despite their limited English, they made every effort to ensure my comfort. the hotel provides a convenient shuttle service from the train station, with four scheduled trips per day. the hot spring experience was delightful, with the water having a unique, almost soapy feel. the breakfast, which varies daily, offers a delicious range of flavors and traditional side dishes. the mountain view from my room added to the overall charm of the stay.
No negatives from this place. 😊.

The shuttle bus was convenient and the traditional breakfast was enjoyable. The location in the middle of nowhere made for a peaceful stay and the mountain views were beautiful.
The hotel was outdated and needed some renovations. The room was small and cramped and the bathroom amenities were limited.

The hotel provided a great base for our romantic escape. We loved the fact that it was just a few minutes' walk from the gorgeous Nezame no Toko Gorge, allowing us to enjoy the peaceful surroundings early in the morning before it got crowded. the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, providing us with information about bus schedules and local restaurants. We also appreciated the free entrance to the nearby pool complex, where we had an enjoyable time relaxing in the different whirlpool options.
There were a couple of downsides to our stay. the hotel felt a bit dated and could benefit from a renovation.
